Las Vegas - Gigantic slate of college football games, as always, and we'll start in the mountains with Colorado +4.5 points over Nebraska. These two met last year, in the middle of the cornfields AT Lincoln, and the Buffaloes pulled off a stunning 33-28 upset. Totally get the revenge factor, but with the same QB, Steven Montez, throwing darts, don't think the Huskers will be able to stop the Buffs. Not in the foothills of the Rockies at Folsom Field on the campus in Boulder.

Las Vegas - Oakland is still fighting for a wild card spot, and Homer Bailey has been an enormous help since coming over from Kansas City. He was 7-6 with the Royals, but 5-2 since putting on the A. Spencer Turnbull will be on the hill for Detroit, and 2019 has been kinda UGLIFIED for the young righty. How ugly? Does 3-14 sound ugly enough? He has not won game since WAY back on May 31, and will not find a W tonight.

Las Vegas - Christmas Eve BABBEE for all of us on the betting beat as the NFL puts its ENORMOUS footprint on cash in/cash out for the sportsbooks, and, our bank accounts. The 100th season kicks off with a spectacular old school rivalry as the Bears (-3) host the Packers. Naturally, you can find, and we have found, trends that point to both sides of the equation. You like Chicago, why not, they closed out 2018 by covering nine of the last 11 games. You like Green Bay, why not.

Las Vegas - Don't kill me, but I'm gonna recommend the Indians with Mike Clevinger over the White Sox. Sure, ya gotta lay a little better than 3/1, but have you seen his HAIR. Okay, you're not a hair person, but have you seen his recent ERA. You better get your binoculars, because he has allowed just one earned run over the last 18 innings for a 0.50 ERA. Yup, a half a FREAKIN' run. He'll face Dylan Cease who has been roughed up for 21 hits and 16 earned runs over the last 13 innings.
