Cavaliers vs. Hawks to Start Weekend Action

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 20-4 SU and 18-6 ATS over their last 24 games. This Friday night the Cavaliers visit the Atlanta Hawks in a battle between the two best teams in the Eastern Conference.

Cleveland opened as a 1-point road favorite in Atlanta at online sportsbook Bovada. Atlanta is 27-4 SU over its last 31 games including a 15-1 SU record at home. Included in that 15-1 home record is a 109-101 win over Cleveland back in December, but that was before the Cavaliers got on their recent hot streak. This will be a very interesting matchup and a potential playoff preview.

After playing the Portland Trail Blazers on the road on Thursday night the Dallas Mavericks travel to Golden State to take on the Warriors on Friday night. Golden State is 27-2 SU and 21-7-1 ATS over its last 29 home games and is a 10-point home favorite over the Mavericks at 5Dimes. Over the weekend Memphis visits New Orleans on Saturday, and Chicago at San Antonio, the Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State, and Toronto at Oklahoma City all tip off on Sunday.

Saturday's college basketball card is loaded with big games between two ranked opponents. Virginia at Louisville, Duke at North Carolina, Kansas at Oklahoma, and Butler at Providence should all be outstanding games as the regular season begins to come to a close. Duke is considered the biggest favorite to knock off Kentucky going off at 17/2 at Bovada to win the NCAA Tournament. On Sunday, Wisconsin visits Ohio State in a Big Ten showdown.

Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins play two games on back-to-back nights this weekend visiting the Anaheim Ducks on Friday and the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Anaheim is 7-1 SU over its last eight games with a four-game winning streak and is a -130 favorite to beat the Penguins (+115) at 5Dimes.

Other big games on the NHL card this weekend include Calgary at Detroit on Friday, Winnipeg at Nashville and Vancouver at San Jose on Saturday, and the New York Rangers at Chicago on Sunday.

In golf, the WGC-Cadillac Championship got underway on Thursday and will be played through Sunday. J.B. Holmes jumped out to the early lead at 10-under-par on Thursday.
