College Football Week 3 Top Odds Matchups

The Tigers battle the Tigers in their annual SEC cat fight this weekend when No. 13 LSU plays host to No. 18 Auburn. The oddsmakers at Bovada are going with LSU as a 7.5-point favorite.

Both sides enter this matchup undefeated on the season, but neither have helped out bettors, going winless ATS, all as the favorites. Last week Auburn was a 10-point favorite versus Jacksonville State but only escaped with a 27-20 win in OT, while LSU edged Mississippi State 21-19 as 3.5-point chalk.

Auburn has been a bettor’s worst enemy for a while, having lost six in a row ATS, and they’re 1-8 ATS in their last nine. Auburn is 4-1 ATS in their last five versus LSU, including a punishing 41-7 win last season as a 7-point favorite. In their last seven matchups at LSU the home team Tigers have won all seven with a 4-3 record ATS.

Continuing with the ranked matchups on tap this weekend, No. 2 Alabama looks to keep their regular season winning streak going against No. 15 Ole Miss as 6-point home chalk. After taking care of Middle Tennessee State 37-20 as a 34.5-point favorite last week the Crimson Tide have won 10 in a row in the regular season. Too bad for bettors they were a lame 4-5-1 ATS.

Ole Miss has posted back-to-back blowouts to open the season, combining to outscore their opponents 149-24. Of course it was against cupcakes UT Martin and Fresno State.

As we already said Alabama has won 10 straight regular season games. Guess who their last loss came against? It was the Rebels, who upset the Tide 23-17 as a 4.5-point home underdog last October. Prior to that defeat Alabama had won 10 in a row against Ole Miss with a 4-6 ATS record.

Rounding out the top Week 3 college football matchups is a Top 25 clash between No. 19 BYU and No. 10 UCLA. The Bruins are heavy 16.5-point home favorites after a 2-0 SU and ATS start to the season. BYU is also 2-0 to start the season with both wins coming as the underdog.

The Cougars are 4-1 ATS in their last five games and the last time they faced the Bruins back in 2008 they hammered them 59-0 as an 8.5-point favorite.
