College Football Week 4 Top Odds Matchups

A Pac-12 battle between No. 9 UCLA and No. 18 Arizona highlights the Week 4 schedule in college football as the Bruins try to hold onto their spot in the Top 10,while the Wildcats try to prove they belong.

The Bruins head into their showdown with Arizona as a 4.5-point road favorite at 5Dimes. That may surprise a few bettors after UCLA barely avoided an upset last week against BYU. UCLA was a 16.5-point favorite against BYU, but didn’t come close to covering in a 24-23 victory. The Bruins' running game dominated in the close win as Nate Starks and Paul Perkins combined to rush for 300 yards.

Arizona utterly destroyed Northern Arizona last week in a 77-13 rout as a 34.5-point favorite. The Wildcats had 792 total yards of offense in the win, with 399 yards on the ground.

UCLA has owned this matchup recently, having won three straight both SU and ATS versus the Wildcats. At Arizona it’s a different story. At home versus the Bruins the Wildcats are 4-1 SU and ATS. In their last 10 home games overall Arizona is 9-1 SU, but only 4-6 ATS.

The only other Top 25 matchup on tap this week is No. 18 Utah at No. 13 Oregon. This game remains off the board right now at Bovada as the status of Oregon QB Vernon Adams and Utah QB Travis Wilson remain unknown.

Utah took down Fresno State 45-24 as a 12-point favorite last week and are a solid 6-1 SU and ATS in their last seven on the road. The Ducks rebounded from their first loss of the season by thumping Georgia State 61-28 as a 42-point favorite in Jeff Locke’s first start at quarterback.

Oregon has won three in a row SU versus Utah with a 2-1 mark ATS. They’re also 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six, and 4-0 SU and 2-2 ATS in their last four home games versus the Utes.

Rounding out our look at college football this week is No. 3 Mississippi playing host to Vanderbilt. Ole Miss is coming off a shocking 43-37 win over Alabama as a 9-point underdog. The Rebels never trailed in that win and their defense was stout, forcing five turnovers.

Vanderbilt recorded their first win last week, downing Austin Peay 47-7, but they’ll have their hands full this week as a 34-point underdog at 5Dimes.

Ole Miss has won two in a row SU and ATS versus Vanderbilt, but in their last eight matchups Vanderbilt is 5-3 SU and ATS. The Rebels may have the advantage at home however, where they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight versus the Commodores.
