College Football Week 7 Betting Odds Preview

The newly No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs begin their reign atop the rankings with a Top 25 matchup this weekend when they host the No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the Bulldogs are 23.5-point favorites. Last week, Georgia improved to 6-0 straight up and 5-1 against the spread on the season by defeating the Auburn Tigers 34-10 as a 14.5-point favorite. That was the Bulldogs’ 10th straight win, during which they’re 7-3 ATS, while at home they’ve won eight straight at 4-4 ATS.

Kentucky is also 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS following last week’s 42-21 win over the LSU Tigers as a 2-point favorite. Kentucky has won eight straight at 6-2 ATS and as an underdog is 6-2-1 ATS in its last nine.

Last season, Georgia defeated Kentucky 14-3 as a 17-point favorite. Overall, Georgia has won 11 straight against Kentucky at 7-4 ATS.

Higher-ranked Cowboys road underdogs vs Longhorns

The only other ranked matchup on the schedule this week is the No. 12 Oklahoma State Cowboys at the No. 25 Texas Longhorns as a 5.5-point underdog.

Oklahoma State has won seven straight at 5-2 ATS and is coming off a 24-14 win over the Baylor Bears as a 4-point favorite. As an underdog, the Cowboys have been a strong bet lately at 10-2 ATS in their last 12.

Texas is coming off a 55-48 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners as a 4-point underdog that dropped the Longhorns to 4-2 SU and ATS this season. They are 6-2 ATS in their last eight, and when favored they’re 8-1 SU and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine.

Last season, Texas upset Oklahoma State 41-34 as a 3.5-point underdog. However, in their last six games in Texas, the Cowboys are 5-1 SU and ATS.

Alabama has covered 9 of last 13 vs Mississippi State

Also on the schedule this weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide will try to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they visit the Mississippi State Bulldogs as a 17.5-point favorite.

Last week, Alabama had a 19-game winning streak snapped in a 41-38 loss to the Texas A&M Aggies as an 18.5-point favorite. During their winning streak, the Crimson Tide were 13-6 ATS and on the road they’re 6-1 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven.

Mississippi State was on its bye last week and sits at 3-2 SU and ATS on the season. In their last game, the Bulldogs upset Texas A&M 26-22 as a 7-point underdog. As a home underdog, the Bulldogs are 3-5 SU and ATS in their last eight.

Last season, Alabama crushed Mississippi State 41-0 as a 29-point favorite. The Crimson Tide have won 13 straight against the Bulldogs while going 9-4 ATS.
