MLB All-Star Game and British Open on Tap

The National League is 3-2 over the last five all-star games after going 0-12-1 against the American League over the previous 13. The NL and AL meet for the all-star game this Tuesday night in Cincinnati at the Great American Ball Park.

The NL all-stars are a -122 favorite over the AL all-stars at +102 according to online sportsbook Bovada. The National League will give Zack Greinke the start while the American League will send Dallas Keuchel to the mound.

The American League has won each of the last two all-star games. The winner of Tuesday night's game will earn its league home field advantage in the World Series this season.

The British Open starts this Thursday with Jordan Spieth coming in as the clear favorite at 5/1 at Bovada. Spieth has already won two majors this season with wins in the Masters and the US Open tournaments. He will look to keep his dream of a single-season grand slam alive with a win in the British Open this weekend.

Spieth is a -275 favorite to not win another major this year, +225 to win exactly one more, and +1600 to complete the Grand Slam.

With Rory McIlroy out of the tournament with a leg injury, Dustin Johnson is second on the board to win the British Open this weekend at 11/1. Johnson is an extremely consistent golfer who tends to stay close to the leaderboard in major events, but he is still looking for his first win in a major.

UFC Fight Night 71 on Wednesday is headlined by a fight between Frank Mir and Todd Duffee. The two heavyweights have solid career resumes and will be trying to fight their way back into title contention in the division. Duffee is a -190 favorite at Bovada in the main event over Mir going off at +155 as an underdog.

Another interesting bet on the card pits Tony Ferguson against Josh Thompson. Ferguson has put together an 8-1 record through the first nine fights of his UFC career and is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. He is going off at -190 to win the co-headliner over Josh Thompson at +155.
