NBA Betting: Blazers, Mavs Jockey For Position

Tuesday night’s NBA schedule includes an interesting matchup between two Western Conference teams battling for the final playoff positions when the Portland Trail Blazers visit the Dallas Mavericks.

Portland is struggling right now with a 1-5 record straight up and 0-6 record against the spread in its last six games. The Trail Blazers have been a nightmare for bettors at 1-9 ATS in their last 10. On the road, they haven’t been much better at 1-6 ATS in their last seven.

Dallas has been on a strong run lately at 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five, and 8-2 SU and ATS in the last 10. At home the Mavericks have won seven straight both SU and ATS.

This is the first matchup this season between Portland and Dallas. Last season Portland took the season series 2-1 SU and ATS, and in the last eight vs Dallas has gone 5-3 SU and 3-5 ATS.

Raps dominating Sixers in the North

On Wednesday night a pair of Eastern Conference clashes highlight the schedule, starting with the conference-leading Toronto Raptors hosting the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Raptors headed into a Monday night matchup with the Denver Nuggets having won eight straight while going 4-4 ATS. At home the Raptors have won their last three at 1-2 ATS and on the season they’re 10-2 SU and 5-7 ATS at home.

Philadelphia has won four straight at 3-1 ATS and is 8-1 SU and 5-4 ATS in its last nine. The Sixers have been OK on the road lately at 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six, but in their last 14 they’re 4-10 SU and 3-11 ATS.

The Raptors and 76ers clashed in Toronto on October 30 and the Raptors won 129-112 as a 6-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. In its last six vs Philadelphia, Toronto is 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS, and at home the Raptors have won 12 straight against the Sixers at 9-3 ATS.

Pistons winning for spread bettors on road

Also on tap Wednesday, the Detroit Pistons visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

Detroit entered a Monday night matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a five-game winning streak at 4-1 ATS. In their last eight, the Pistons were 7-1 SU and ATS. On the road they’re only 3-4 SU in their last seven but they’ve been a killer for bettors at 6-1 ATS, and 12-3 ATS in their last 15.

Milwaukee has been a bad bet lately at 2-3 SU and 0-5 ATS in its last five. That includes losing to the New York Knicks 136-134 last time out as an 8-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. Milwaukee has been strong at home this season at 15-2 SU and 11-5-1 ATS.

Detroit has been a smart bet against Milwaukee in recent years at 4-0-1 ATS in their last five, and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11. In Milwaukee the Pistons are 1-8 SU and 3-5-1 ATS in their last nine.
