NBA Betting: Cavs Home and Home vs. Hawks

The Cleveland Cavaliers look to maintain their tenuous grip on top spot in the Eastern Conference this weekend when they play a home-and-home series against the floundering Atlanta Hawks.

The teams meet up in Cleveland on Friday, followed by a clash in Atlanta on Sunday. The Cavaliers have righted the ship lately with four straight wins straight up at 3-1 against the spread. They’ve still been rough on bettors, though, at 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games.

The Hawks have been rapidly falling down the standings in the East after going 2-9 SU and 5-6 ATS in their last 11 games. It doesn’t get any easier heading into the weekend, as they host the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.

The Hawks and Cavaliers have split the season series at 1-1 SU and ATS, with the road team winning both games. Looking back long term the Cavaliers have dominated the matchup at 12-1 SU and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 meetings.

This will also be an important weekend for the Miami Heat, who are fighting with the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers for the final playoff spots in the East. Miami plays back-to-back this weekend with a trip to Toronto on Friday and a road game at Washington on Saturday.

The Heat are 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five games, but on the road they’ve won three in a row SU and they’re 5-1 ATS in their last six. In their last 16 road games Miami is a solid 12-4 ATS.

Against the Raptors this season Miami is 2-1 SU and ATS and all three games have gone UNDER the posted total. On the road against Toronto it’s a different story, as Miami is a terrible 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS in their last eight.

Toronto welcomed back Kyle Lowry on Wednesday night, which could be bad news for Miami as they were on a solid run even without him at 9-2 SU and 6-4-1 ATS in their last 11.

Against Washington this season the Heat are 2-0 SU and ATS and they’re 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five matchups. At Washington, they’re 7-3 SU in their last 10, but only 3-7 ATS.

The Wizards face the New York Knicks on Thursday night and heading into that matchup had won four in a row SU, but they’re 2-5 ATS in their last seven.

Miami hasn’t been great when playing the second game of a back-to-back this season at 6-8 SU in 14 games. However, they’re one of the best in the league ATS at 12-2 ATS.
