NBA Betting: Pacers Seek Split In Beantown

The Wednesday NBA playoff schedule includes Game 2 from three series, starting with the Indiana Pacers at the Boston Celtics.

Boston won the series opener 84-74 as a 7.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. The oddsmakers are delivering the same odds for Game 2, again pegging Boston as a 7.5-point favorite.

With the win in Game 1, Boston improved to 5-1 straight up and 4-2 against the spread in its last six games. By covering the spread at home, the Celtics ended a miserable eight-game ATS losing streak at home.

The Pacers’ recent struggles continued, as they are now 3-6 SU and 4-5 ATS in their last nine games. Indiana has been especially bad on the road with a 2-11 record SU and 4-9 ATS mark in its last 13 road games.

Boston has now won four straight against the Pacers while going 3-1 ATS. At home vs the Pacers, the Celtics are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six.

Pistons have lost 11 postseason games in a row

Next up on Wednesday night, the Detroit Pistons will look to rebound from an awful series opener when they face the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2.

Milwaukee completely dominated Game 1, winning 121-86 as a 15-point favorite. They remain a huge favorite in Game 2 as a 16-point favorite.

Seven different Milwaukee players scored in double figures in Game 1, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 24 points and 17 rebounds. At home, Milwaukee is 7-2 SU and 5-3-1 ATS in its last nine, and this season when listed as a double-digit favorite, the Bucks were 22-2 SU and 14-7-3 ATS.

Detroit is short-handed with Blake Griffin out for the entire series. The Pistons have also been struggling lately at 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS in their last seven. In the playoffs, the Pistons have been a team bettors have wanted to avoid, having lost 11 straight SU while going 3-8 ATS.

Milwaukee has won five in a row against Detroit at 4-0-1 ATS, and at home the Bucks have won seven straight vs the Pistons at 4-2-1 ATS.
