NCAAB Betting: Blue Devils Visit Hokies

There’s only one Top 25 matchup on tap Tuesday night, as the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils drop in on the No. 20 Virginia Tech Hokies.

Duke is expected to be without star Zion Williamson again Tuesday night as he remains doubtful due to a knee injury. Last time out, Duke got by without him, downing the Syracuse Orange 75-65 as a 5.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. With that win Duke improved to 10-1 straight up and 6-5 against the spread in its last 11 games. On the road Duke has won seven straight at 5-2 ATS.

The Hokies are coming off a 67-59 win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a 4-point road favorite. They’re 3-3 SU and a disappointing 1-4-1 ATS in their last six. At home Virginia Tech has been a tough bet lately at 1-5 ATS in its last six. However, if the Hokies are a home underdog Tuesday night, things could be different according to the trends. In their last 11 as a home underdog, the Hokies are 9-2 SU and ATS.

In the last three matchups between Duke and Virginia Tech, the Hokies have surprised at 2-1 SU and ATS, with both wins coming as the underdog.

Kentucky 18-1 SU in last 19 at home

Also on tap Tuesday night, the Kentucky Wildcats have what appears to be a cupcake matchup at home vs the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Wildcats are 13-1 SU and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games They’ve been even better at home, at 18-1 SU and 12-7 ATS in their last 19.

Arkansas is in a funk right now having lost five in a row SU and six straight ATS. On the road, the Razorbacks are a lousy 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS in their last seven.

Not surprisingly, Kentucky has dominated this matchup with six straight wins both SU and ATS vs Arkansas. In their last 12 versus the Razorbacks, the Wildcats are 11-1 SU and 7-5 ATS.

UNC has won last 7 vs Syracuse

One other notable matchup on Tuesday sees the North Carolina Tar Heels host the Syracuse Orange.

After routing the Florida State Seminoles 77-59 as a 7-point favorite last time out, North Carolina is 10-1 SU and 8-3 ATS in its last 11. Syracuse is 2-3 SU and ATS in its last five after falling to Duke 75-65 as a 5.5-point underdog last time out.

The Tar Heels have won seven straight against Syracuse, while going 4-2-1 ATS. At home vs the Orange, North Carolina is 3-0 SU and 1-1-1 ATS.
