NFL Week 11 Thursday Night Betting Preview

Old AFC North rivals get Week 11 in the NFL started when the Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the Browns are a slim 2.5-point home favorite.

Last week Cleveland snapped a four-game losing streak both straight up and against the spread, getting past the Buffalo Bills 19-16 as a 3-point favorite. In the win, Baker Mayfield passed for 238 yards with a pair of touchdowns and Jarvis Landry was his top target with nine receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Browns are 6-2 ATS in last 8 vs AFC North foes

With the win Cleveland now stands at 3-6 SU and 2-6-1 ATS on the season, a major disappointment for a team that opened the year as an AFC North favorite. The Browns have been a bad bet at home lately at 0-4-1 ATS in their last five. Cleveland is 5-5 SU and 3-6-1 ATS in its last 10 when favored, and against divisional opponents the Browns are 6-2 ATS in their last eight.

Pittsburgh has won four straight at 3-1 ATS following last week’s 17-12 win over the Los Angeles Rams as a 4.5-point underdog. Mason Rudolph passed for 242 yards with two touchdowns and the Steelers defense stepped up with four sacks, a pair of interceptions and a fumble return for a touchdown.

Steelers 17-3 SU in last 20 night games

Thanks to their improving defense, the Steelers have been a solid UNDER play lately at 5-2 UNDER in their last seven. They’re also 8-1 UNDER in their last nine games on the road. Against divisional opponents on the road, the Steelers are 10-2 UNDER in their last 12.

Also on the road the Steelers are 1-5 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six. As an underdog, the Steelers have been money for a while with an 8-1-1 ATS record in their last 10. Pittsburgh has thrived in night games with a 17-3 SU record in its last 20 games.

Last season the Steelers were 1-0-1 SU and 1-1 ATS against the Browns. Not surprisingly, the Steelers have dominated this matchup for years with a 7-0-1 SU and 4-3-1 ATS record in their last eight vs Cleveland, and an 11-1-1 SU and 7-5-1 ATS mark in their last 13. In Cleveland, the Steelers are 14-3-1 SU and 8-7-3 ATS in their last 18 games.
