NFL Week 12 Betting Odds Preview

The NFL delivers its traditional Thanksgiving tripleheader Thursday, starting with the Houston Texans going up against the Detroit Lions.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the Texans are 3-point road favorites. Last week Houston upset the New England Patriots 27-20 as a 2.5-point underdog. The Texans have been a bad road bet lately at 1-5 straight up and against the spread in their last six. However, as a road favorite, they’ve won five in a row SU at 1-2-2 ATS.

Detroit is coming off a 20-0 shutout loss to the Carolina Panthers as a 3-point favorite. The Lions are 1-7 SU and 3-5 ATS in their last eight home games, and as a home underdog they’ve lost eight straight at 3-5 ATS.

In four games against the Lions, the Texans are 3-1 SU and 1-3 ATS.

Dallas, Washington duel for top spot in NFC East

In the second Thanksgiving game, the Dallas Cowboys host the Washington Football Team as a 3-point favorite. Dallas upset the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 as a 7-point underdog last week. When favored, Dallas has lost six straight ATS, and the Cowboys are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games at home.

Washington got past the Cincinnati Bengals 20-9 as a 1.5-point favorite last week. On the road, Washington has lost six straight at 2-4 ATS and is 2-11 SU and 6-7 ATS in its last 13 away from home.

In Week 7, Washington defeated Dallas 25-3 as a 1-point home underdog. Despite that loss, Dallas is 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in its last nine vs Washington. In this matchup, the home team is 5-1 SU and ATS in the last six games.

Ravens have covered in 9 of last 10 as underdog

The night game on Thursday is an AFC North clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. At Bovada, the Steelers are 5.5-point favorites.

Pittsburgh improved to 10-0 SU and 8-2 ATS on the season last week with a 27-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars as a 10.5-point favorite. At home, Pittsburgh has won five straight at 4-1 ATS, and the Steelers are 9-1 SU and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Baltimore is 1-4 ATS in its last five following a 30-24 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans as a 6-point favorite. On the road, Baltimore is 10-1 SU and 7-2-2 ATS in the last 11, and the Ravens are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 as an underdog.

In Week 8, Pittsburgh defeated Baltimore 28-24 as a 4-point underdog. In this matchup, the visiting team has gone 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight games, while the favored team is 0-5-1 ATS in the last six.
