NFL Week 14 Betting Preview and Trends

Week 14 has a number of interesting divisional matchups on tap, starting in the AFC West with the Oakland Raiders at the Kansas City Chiefs.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the Chiefs are a 4-point favorite, as they try to snap a four-game losing streak straight up and against the spread. The Chiefs are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six against Oakland, but they lost to the Raiders 31-30 as a 3-point favorite in Week 7. Oakland is 2-7-1 ATS in its last 10 and has been horrible on the road at 2-5 SU and 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven.

In the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys are a 4-point road favorite this week versus the New York Giants. Dallas snapped a three-game losing streak SU and ATS last week, but in the last eight as a road favorite is 3-5 ATS. New York is 1-4 SU and ATS in its last five at home, but as a home underdog the Giants are 4-2 ATS in their last six.

AFC North rivals square off Sunday night when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens as a 5-point favorite. The Steelers have won seven straight at 4-3 ATS and they hammered Baltimore 26-9 as a 3.5-point road favorite in Week 4. The Ravens have won their last three games while going 2-1 ATS, but they have trouble on the road with a 3-8 record SU and 4-6-1 ATS record in their last 11 games.

An AFC East clash concludes Week 14 on Monday when the New England Patriots face the Miami Dolphins as an 11.5-point road favorite. New England has been money as a road favorite, having won 12 straight with a 10-2 ATS record. Miami is 1-5 SU and 1-4-1 ATS in its last six games and has lost three straight SU and ATS versus New England.

Shifting away from the divisional matchups, the game of the week looks to be the Philadelphia Eagles at the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are a 2.5-point favorite and have won six of their last seven games both SU and ATS. The Eagles had their nine-game winning streak snapped last week, but they have won their last two games as the underdog SU. The Eagles are also 10-1-1 ATS in their last 12 against the Rams.

Finally, the Jacksonville Jaguars are surprising 3-point home favorites this week against the Seattle Seahawks. The Jaguars are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six games, but they struggle in late-afternoon games, with a 4-18 ATS record in their last 22. The Seahawks have won their last two games as an underdog SU, and against Jacksonville they’re 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five.
