NFL Week 6 Betting Preview and Trends

The unbeaten San Francisco 49ers get a tough road matchup in Week 7 of the NFL season as they visit the Los Angeles Rams.

The 49ers may be undefeated, but the Rams are a 3.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. Los Angeles has lost its last two games following a 30-29 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week as a 1.5-point underdog. In their last 10 games, the Rams are 8-2 ATS and when favored they’re 6-1 SU and ATS in their last seven.

The 49ers beat up on the Cleveland Browns 31-3 last week as a 5-point favorite to improve to 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS. San Francisco has won its last two road games SU and ATS but prior to that had dropped eight straight on the road at 2-6 ATS.

The Rams won both matchups against San Francisco last season SU and ATS. However, on the road against the Rams, the 49ers are 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six.

Bucs are 5-1 in last 6 as home underdog

In the NFC South on Sunday, the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers clash again, with the Panthers listed as a 2-point road favorite. Back in Week 2, Tampa Bay upset Carolina 20-14 as a 6.5-point road underdog.

Tampa Bay has lost four straight at home while going 1-3 ATS, but as a home underdog the Bucs are a surprising 5-1 ATS in their last six.

Carolina has won three in a row SU and ATS. In their last six games in Tampa Bay, the Panthers are 5-1 ATS.

Both sides in this game are heading into their bye next week. Carolina is 5-1 ATS in its last six games before a bye week, while Tampa Bay is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 heading into the bye.

Ravens haven’t been good to bettors at home

One of the larger spreads this week belongs to the Baltimore Ravens, who are 11-point home favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Baltimore is 1-3-1 ATS after edging the Pittsburgh Steelers 26-23 as a 3-point favorite last week. At home, the Ravens have been an awful bet lately, having dropped five straight ATS and eight of their last nine.

The Bengals are winless on the season at 0-5 SU and 2-3 ATS following a 26-23 upset loss to the Arizona Cardinals last week as a 3-point favorite. On the road, Cincinnati has lost eight straight but is 6-2 ATS, and in their last five games in Baltimore, the Bengals are 4-1 ATS.
