UFC 208 Odds: Holm Underdog vs. de Randamie

The UFC will crown their first-ever women’s featherweight champion on Saturday night when Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie square off in the main event at UFC 208.

Holm, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, enters the bout having lost her last two fights. She last fought at a UFC on Fox event in July 2016 and lost to Valentina Shevchenko by unanimous decision. With that loss she dropped to 10-2 with seven wins by knockout. At the Bovada sportsbook she is the underdog in this bout at even money.

De Randamie comes in as the favorite at -130. She hasn’t fought since UFC Fight Night in July 2016 when she stopped Anna Elmose by TKO in the first round. In nine fights de Randamie is 6-3 with three wins by KO.

Also on the UFC 208 main event card, MMA veteran Anderson Silva steps back into the octagon to face Derek Brunson as a middleweight.

Silva, 33-8 with 20 wins by KO, is a shadow of his former self and owns a lackluster 0-4 record with one no-contest in his last five fights. He last fought at UFC 200 in July 2016 and lost to Daniel Cormier by unanimous decision. Silva hasn’t posted a win that stuck since 2012, so it should come as no surprise that he is a +120 underdog at Bovada.

Brunson had a five-fight winning streak snapped in his last bout at a UFC Fight Night event in November 2016. He faced Robert Whittaker and lost by TKO in the opening round. That dropped Brunson to 16-4 lifetime with eight wins by KO. He’s a -150 favorite versus Silva at Bovada.

One other middleweight bout on the main card pits heavy favorite Ronaldo Souza against underdog Tim Boetsch.

Souza is 9-1 in his last 10 fights and owns a 23-4 record overall with one no-contest and 16 wins by submission. He last fought at UFC 198 in May 2016 and wrecked Vitor Belfort by TKO in the first round. He’s a heavy -500 favorite at Bovada.

Boetsch is a +350 underdog and sports an unimpressive 4-6 record in his last 10 fights. He did win last time out, defeating Rafael Natal by KO in the first round at UFC 205 in November 2016. Overall he is 20-10 with 10 wins by KO.
