Week 13 NFL Betting Preview

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys have been middling at best so far this season for their supporters on the NFL betting lines at the sportsbooks, but they'll be taking on the worst wager in the league in Week 13 as they play host to the floundering Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.

The Cowboys are 5-6 SU and 4-7 ATS heading into their Week 13 contest, although that has them only two games back of the New York Giants in the NFC East division standings. The Eagles, meanwhile, have lost seven games in a row to sit at 3-8 SU and an ugly 2-9 ATS as they limp toward the end of the season.

For Sunday night the Cowboys opened as 10.5-point home favorites on the NFL betting lines at 5Dimes against the Eagles, and Dallas already knocked around Philadelphia in a 38-23 road win as a 2.5-point favorite back on November 11. That put an end to the Eagles' three-game ATS winning streak against rival Dallas.

The other big home favorites on the NFL betting lines for Sunday at 5Dimes are the Green Bay Packers at -9.5 hosting the Minnesota Vikings, and the Denver Broncos at -8 hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Packers are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS over their last four games against the Vikings, while the Broncos and Bucs have played to three straight UNDER results in their limited meetings since 1999.

The two big home underdogs on the NFL betting schedule for Sunday are the Rams and the Dolphins, with San Francisco at -8 in St. Louis and New England at -8.5 in Miami at 5Dimes.

The Niners and Rams tied 24-24 back on November 11 in San Francisco, with the home team a big 13.5-point favorite in that OVER result. San Francisco is now just 1-4 ATS over its past five games against St. Louis. The Patriots are riding a four-game winning streak against the Dolphins, covering the posted spread in three of those contests.

The rest of the NFL lines for Sunday's slate are Jacksonville at Buffalo (-5.5), Seattle at Chicago (-4.5), Arizona at the Jets (-4.5), Indianapolis at Detroit (-4.5), Houston at Tennessee (+5.5), Carolina at Kansas City (+2.5), and Cincinnati at San Diego (+1.5), while the Cleveland at Oakland and Pittsburgh at Baltimore matchups were off the board early in the week due to injuries to QBs Brandon Weeden and Ben Roethlisberger.

For Thursday night the Falcons are sitting as 3.5-point home favorites against the Saints, with Matt Ryan and company falling 31-27 on the road in New Orleans back on November 11 as a 1.5-point favorite at 5Dimes; that's Atlanta's only loss so far this season. The Saints are 4-0 SU and ATS in their past four games against the Falcons.
