Las Vegas - Gonna go ice, bases and then step into the boxing ring.

Starting the day in the NHL and will grab the Hurricanes over the Islanders. Carolina comes into the first round winning five of the last six and 13 of the last 17. These teams split the season series at 2-2 and faced off in the first round last season when Carolina won the opening game 2-1. History does not always repeat itself, but in this spot, it WILL. Why? Check out the GINORMOUS disparity in the goal differential department. The 'Canes have scored 279 goals and allowed 216 for a +63 differential. That's PLUS SIXTY THREE! The Isles have scored 246 goals and allowed 263 for a -17. That's MINUS SEVENTEEN. That's why Carolina is on my mind and my wallet.

On the MLB board, looking at the Cubs, specifically, the game that Shota Imanaga starts against the Marlins. If you're wondering why, Shota, or the 'Throwing Philosopher,' has NOT given up an earned run yet this season. NONE, ZERO, 15 innings and 15 BAGELS! We would expect him to matchup against Jesus Luzardo but it could be a bullpen game for Miami. Or, it could be Edward Cabrera for the Fish. Like Shota against either guy, but would throw more chips on the table if he matches up with Luzardo. And if Imanaga pitches the second game, and the Cubs won the first, then we would advise cutting the chips in half.

On to the squared circle in Vegas where Devin Haney will step in against Ryan Garcia. Haney is a GINORMOUS favorite, anywhere from -$900 (Westgate, Wynn, Draft Kings) to -$800 (Circa, Mirage, Golden Nugget) to -$700 (South Point). NO WAY are we gonna lay that kind of wood, so it's over to Prop City. Looking at the Over/Under on total rounds. Over 10.5 rounds is -$170 while Under 10.5 is +$140. We're going LOW!
