minny and sonny

Las Vegas - Before we get to the NBA hardwood, we're gonna make a stop in the Twin Cities and grab the Twins over the Royals. Minny will send Sonny Gray to the bump and he has started to rock the party. Sonny has allowed four earned runs over the last 21 innings for a tidy 1.71 ERA. But the stat the really POPPED is 30 Ks in those same 21 innings. The story is not as pretty for Zack Greinke. He has been a total stud for most of the last 18 years, but it looks like the potential Hall of Famer is finally over the proverbial hill. Greinke has been SAVAGED for 20 hits and 14 earned runs over the last 14 innings. He has started nine times and has NOT won a game. Nothing but respect for Zack, but nothing but big bucks for the Twinkies today.

Bouncing down to Miami and if anyone has figured out this series, PLZ, yell at me. The real question is, which former Heat superstar is gonna call Jimmy Butler before the game. Jimmy Buckets told the press that Dwyane Wade rang him before game six, and inspired him to give a performance for the ages (47 points, 9 boards, 8 assists and 4 steals). So, is it gonna be King James, Shaq, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen or Alonzo Mourning? Don't have access to any of that information, but do need to see if Tyler Herro is gonna be in the mix. Herro has averaged around 30 minutes per game and 14+ points. Like the work and minutes that Victor Oladipo is giving Erik Spoelstra, but would rather have Herro bombing away. So, if Tyler plays, it's a light tickle to the Heat plus 2.5, but if the Herro is out, then we watch and the wallet is closed.
