Las Vegas - Was thinking about skating on to the NHL ice up in Edmonton tonight and wondering if the Oilers could avoid the broom. My answer is, probably not. Understand that the Avalanche will be without one of their main pieces, Nazem Kadri, and, probably goalie Darcy Kuemper. But this club is SO deep, and SO talented, that it should not be a major problem. The Avs plugged in Pavel Francouz in goal, and all he has done is fed the Oil a bagel in game two and stopped 29 shots in the game three win. Edmonton WILL be without Evander Kane who might be/should be/and now IS suspended for the disturbing hit that ended Kadri's season. Not thrilled with the Oilers Mike Smith who has allowed SEVEN goals in the last two games. After all that, DESPERATION is a totally different animal, and obviously, the Oilers are gonna be DESPERATE. That's why, after about 150 words, gonna have to close the wallet and take a pass. Just gonna watch!
