Minnesota Defeats Philadelphia 121-120 - Recap

The 76ers were burned for 35 points by D'Angelo Russell on Saturday as the Timberwolves picked up a 121-120 win at Wells Fargo Center.

Minnesota won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +7.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 217.5.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 28 points for Minnesota and Anthony Edwards chipped in with 19 points. D'Angelo Russell had 8 assists for the Timberwolves, while Jarred Vanderbilt was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 14 boards.

Philadelphia got 42 points from Joel Embiid in a losing cause and another 17 points from Tobias Harris. Tyrese Maxey contributed 9 assists for the 76ers, while Joel Embiid had 14 rebounds.

The Timberwolves hit the break winning 56-41 before taking care of business in the second half.

Minnesota won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 54-44.

Next game, Minnesota takes its act home to face Indiana looking for another win. For Philadelphia, they head home to face Orlando.
