Pelicans vs Rockets Final: 130-105 - Recap

The battle between the Pelicans and Rockets didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Houston was handed a 130-105 defeat on Sunday at Smoothie King Center.

The Pelicans were a -6.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 232.0.

Jonas Valanciunas had 32 points for New Orleans and Jaxson Hayes chipped in with 21 points. Jose Alvarado had 10 assists for the Pelicans, while Naji Marshall was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

The Rockets got a 17-point performance from Jalen Green, who was supported by 15 points from David Nwaba. Kevin Porter Jr. had 5 assists in a losing cause for Houston, while Christian Wood grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Pelicans hit the break winning 68-55 before taking care of business in the second half.

New Orleans won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 45-39.

Next game, New Orleans takes its act home to face Phoenix looking for another win. For Houston, they head home to face Phoenix.
