Central Michigan Falls 83-72 Against Ball State - Game Recap

Ball State grabbed a 83-72 win over Central Michigan on Saturday, behind a 24-point effort from K.J. Walton at McGuirk Arena.

Ball State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -2.5-point spread as favorites.

Tayler Persons had 21 points for Ball State and Trey Moses chipped in with 13 points. Trey Moses had 3 assists for them, while Tahjai Teague was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

Central Michigan got 19 points from Rob Montgomery in a losing cause and another 16 points from Shawn Roundtree. Larry Austin Jr. contributed 8 assists for them, while Rob Montgomery had 7 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Ball State were victorious, as the score was 41-36 at the break.

Ball State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 27-22.

Ball State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Miami-Ohio. Central Michigan will aim to get back on the winning track at Akron.
