Cal Baptist got 26 points from Jordan Heading en route to a 82-79 victory over UTRGV on Thursday at UTPA Fieldhouse.
Ty Rowell had 13 points for Cal Baptist and Marquise Mosley chipped in with 13 points. Marquise Mosley had 4 assists for them, while De'jon Davis was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
UTRGV got a 21-point performance from Terry Winn, who was supported by 18 points from Lesley Varner. Javon Levi had 8 assists in a losing cause for UTRGV, while Lesley Varner grabbed 7 rebounds.
Cal Baptist was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
