March Madness - Virginia Defeats Auburn 63-62 - Recap
Virginia earned a 63-62 victory over Auburn on Saturday, getting 21 points from Ty Jerome at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Virginia did not, however, defeat Auburn against the spread, which closed at -6.0 at most sportsbooks.
Virginia got 15 points from Kyle Guy and another 14 points from De'Andre Hunter. Ty Jerome contributed 6 assists, while Ty Jerome cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Auburn got 13 points from Samir Doughty in a losing cause and another 12 points from Bryce Brown. Jared Harper contributed 3 assists for them, while Anfernee McLemore had 12 rebounds.
Virginia was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Auburn had a 30-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
