UMass Minutemen vs Fairfield Stags Wrap - UMass Wins 62-60
UMass grabbed a 62-60 win over Fairfield on Saturday, behind a 18-point effort from Tre Mitchell at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard.
UMass did not, however, defeat Fairfield against the spread, which closed at -2.5 at most sportsbooks.
UMass got 14 points from Sean East II and another 12 points from Samba Diallo. Sean East II contributed 7 assists, while Tre Mitchell cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Fairfield got 15 points from Landon Taliaferro in a losing cause and another 14 points from Jesus Cruz. Jesus Cruz contributed 5 assists for them, while Wassef Methnani had 9 rebounds.

Fairfield won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 32-29.
