Furman vs Chattanooga Final: 58-53 - Recap
Furman got 14 points from Noah Gurley en route to a 58-53 victory over Chattanooga on Saturday at Timmons Arena.
Furman won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -9.5-point spread.
Jalen Slawson had 13 points for Furman and Mike Bothwell chipped in with 12 points. Mike Bothwell had 4 assists for them, while Tre Clark was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Chattanooga got 20 points from Matt Ryan in a losing cause and another 8 points from Stefan Kenic. Maurice Commander contributed 4 assists for them, while Matt Ryan had 14 rebounds.
Furman was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Furman won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-32.
Furman looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the East Tennessee State. Chattanooga will aim to get back on the winning track at The Citadel.
