Recap - Air Force Defeats New Mexico 60-58
Air Force grabbed a 60-58 win over New Mexico on Wednesday, behind a 16-point effort from Lavelle Scottie at Clune Arena.
Air Force won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -2.5-point spread.
Air Force got 14 points from Ryan Swan and another 11 points from Caleb Morris. A.J. Walker contributed 5 assists, while Ryan Swan cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
New Mexico got 18 points from JaQuan Lyle in a losing cause and another 16 points from Vance Jackson. JaQuan Lyle contributed 6 assists for them, while JaQuan Lyle had 8 rebounds.
Air Force trailed at halftime, 33-29.
Air Force had a 36-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Air Force looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Colorado State. New Mexico will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Utah State.
