Campbell Falls 94-76 to Winthrop - Recap
D.J. Burns Jr. scored 15 points leading Winthrop to a 94-76 victory over Campbell at Winthrop Coliseum on Thursday.
Adonis Arms had 15 points for Winthrop and Chase Claxton chipped in with 14 points. Chandler Vaudrin had 10 assists for them, while Chandler Vaudrin was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.
Campbell got 20 points from Jordan Whitfield in a losing cause and another 15 points from Cedric Henderson Jr.. Jesus Carralero contributed 5 assists for them, while Jesus Carralero had 5 rebounds.
Winthrop was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Winthrop had a 39-18 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Winthrop takes its act on the road to face High Point looking for another win. For Campbell, they head home to face High Point.
