UMass Minutemen vs Fordham Rams Wrap - UMass Wins 65-46
UMass grabbed a 65-46 win over Fordham on Sunday, behind a 24-point effort from Tre Mitchell at Rose Hill Gym.
UMass was a -9.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.
UMass got 11 points from T.J. Weeks Jr. and another 9 points from Carl Pierre. Noah Fernandes contributed 5 assists, while Ronnie DeGray III cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Fordham got 12 points from Joel Soriano in a losing cause and another 10 points from Chris Austin. Jalen Cobb contributed 3 assists for them, while Joel Soriano had 12 rebounds.
UMass led at halftime, 44-16.
Fordham won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-33.
Next game, UMass takes its act home to face Saint Louis looking for another win. For Fordham, they head on the road to face Davidson.
