Recap - BYU Defeats New Orleans 86-61
The battle between BYU and New Orleans didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as New Orleans was handed a 86-61 defeat on Thursday at Marriott Center.
Alex Barcello had 19 points for BYU and Connor Harding chipped in with 12 points. Alex Barcello had 4 assists for them, while Richard Harward was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
New Orleans got a 15-point performance from Lamont Berzat, who was supported by 15 points from Damion Rosser. Derek St. Hilaire had 3 assists in a losing cause for New Orleans, while Damion Rosser grabbed 9 rebounds.
BYU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
BYU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 49-26.
BYU heads into a battle against Utah Valley. New Orleans, meanwhile, will have their next action against Texas A&M.
