Recap - George Washington Defeats Duquesne 75-73

Duquesne was burned for 29 points by Jamison Battle on Sunday as George Washington picked up a 75-73 win at Charles E. Smith Center.

George Washington won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +8.0-point spread as underdogs.

George Washington got 16 points from James Bishop and another 14 points from Matt Moyer. James Bishop contributed 7 assists, while Matt Moyer cleaned the glass with 15 rebounds.

Duquesne got 19 points from Marcus Weathers in a losing cause and another 11 points from Maceo Austin. Sincere Carry contributed 8 assists for them, while Marcus Weathers had 12 rebounds.

George Washington was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Duquesne had a 38-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, George Washington takes its act home to face UMass looking for another win. For Duquesne, they head home to face Davidson.
