Western Carolina Falls 88-50 to Furman - Recap

Furman blew out Western Carolina on Wednesday, running up the score in a 88-50 win at Timmons Arena.

Furman was the ATS victor, as they covered the -16.5-point spread as a favorite.

Furman got 26 points from Mike Bothwell and another 18 points from JP Pegues. Alex Hunter contributed 5 assists, while Jalen Slawson cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.

Western Carolina got 14 points from Vonterius Woolbright in a losing cause and another 11 points from Marvin Price. Tyler Harris contributed 2 assists for them, while Vonterius Woolbright had 7 rebounds.

Furman was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Furman won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-31.

Next game, Furman takes its act on the road to face Wofford looking for another win. For Western Carolina, they head on the road to face Mercer.
