Recap - Bucknell Defeats Lafayette 80-75
Bucknell got a 25-point performance from Zach Thomas, who added 13 rebounds as Bucknell ran past Lafayette 80-75 on Monday at Kirby Center.
Bucknell did not, however, defeat Lafayette against the spread, which closed at -11.0 at most sportsbooks.
Nana Foulland had 20 points for Bucknell and Stephen Brown chipped in with 19 points. Stephen Brown had 4 assists for them, while Zach Thomas was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.
Lafayette got a 26-point performance from Alex Petrie, who was supported by 12 points from Paulius Zalys. Lukas Jarrett had 2 assists in a losing cause for Lafayette, while Myles Cherry grabbed 9 rebounds.
Bucknell was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Lafayette had a 44-41 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Bucknell takes its act home to face Lehigh looking for another win. For Lafayette, they head on the road to face Army.
