UMBC blew out The Citadel on Saturday, running up the score in a 98-72 win at McAlister Field House.
UMBC got 21 points from K.J. Maura and another 16 points from Joe Sherburne. K.J. Maura contributed 8 assists, while Max Curran cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
The Citadel got a 16-point performance from Kaelon Harris, who was supported by 12 points from Hayden Brown. Tariq Simmons had 5 assists in a losing cause for The Citadel, while Derek Webster Jr. grabbed 8 rebounds.
UMBC was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMBC had a 52-35 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
