Saskatchewan Defeats Ottawa 40-18 - Recap

Saskatchewan cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 40-18 score against Ottawa in Week 11 action at Mosaic Stadium.

Saskatchewan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -9.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.0.

William Powell rushed for 70 yards, while Cody Fajardo added 38 yards in the win. Shaq Evans and Naaman Roosevelt added 63 and 51 receiving yards respectively.

Greg Morris rushed for 28 yards for Ottawa, while Jonathon Jennings added 17 yards. Jonathon Jennings threw for 208 yards for the RedBlacks, while receivers Dominique Rhymes and Brad Sinopoli had 95 and 53 yards respectively.

Ottawa lost the offensive yardage battle to Saskatchewan 363-309 yards in Saturday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 20-14.

The time of possession battle favored Saskatchewan as their offense was on the field for 33:00, longer than the 27:00 of their opponents.

Next game, Saskatchewan takes its act home to face Winnipeg looking for another win. For Ottawa, they head home to face Toronto.
