Elks Fall 29-24 Against Saskatchewan - Game Recap

Cody Fajardo passed for 3 TDs and 245 yards in leading the Roughriders past Edmonton on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium.

Saskatchewan won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -11.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 43.0.

Cody Fajardo completed 23 of 32 pass attempts for 245 yards and 3 TDs for the Roughriders in the win.

Walter Fletcher rushed for 88 yards for Edmonton, while Taylor Cornelius added 11 yards. Taylor Cornelius threw for 224 yards for the Elks, while receivers Jalen Tolliver and Walter Fletcher had 98 and 48 yards respectively.

Saskatchewan lost the offensive yardage battle to Edmonton 328-326 yards in Saturday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.

The time of possession battle favored Edmonton as their offense was on the field for 32:02, longer than the 27:58 of their opponents.

Saskatchewan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Tiger-Cats. The Elks will aim to get back on the winning track at Toronto.
