Spartans Fall 34-16 Against Tulsa - Game Recap
The Spartans had no answer for Shamari Brooks on Saturday as the Golden Hurricane rolled to a 34-16 win at CEFCU Stadium.
The Golden Hurricane were a -6.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 53.5.
Shamari Brooks rushed for 140 yards, while T.K. Wilkerson added 92 yards in the win. Sam Crawford Jr. and Keylon Stokes added 137 and 46 receiving yards respectively.
DeJon Packer rushed for 53 yards for San Jose State, while Nick Nash added 48 yards. Josh Love threw for 189 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Bailey Gaither and Billy Humphreys had 68 and 52 yards respectively.
San Jose State lost the offensive yardage battle to Tulsa 539-348 yards in Saturday's game. Tulsa had more first downs as that total ended up 27-18.
Tulsa led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:29-26:31 split in that important category.
Tulsa heads into a 3 battle against Oklahoma State. San Jose State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Arkansas.
