Massachusetts Minutemen vs Charlotte 49ers Recap - 49ers Win 52-17

Charlotte got a 113-yard performance from Benny LeMay as a key part of its 52-17 victory over the Minutemen on Saturday at Jerry Richardson Stadium.

Charlotte won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -21.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 66.5.

Benny LeMay rushed for 113 yards, while Aaron McAllister added 94 yards in the win. Cameron Dollar and Tyler Ringwood added 46 and 46 receiving yards respectively.

Cam Roberson rushed for 73 yards for Massachusetts, while Bilal Ally added 59 yards. Andrew Brito threw for 127 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Jermaine Johnson Jr. and Samuel Emilus had 38 and 27 yards respectively.

Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Charlotte 533-262 yards in Saturday's game. Charlotte had more first downs as that total ended up 22-15.

The time of possession battle favored Charlotte as their offense was on the field for 32:14, longer than the 27:46 of their opponents.

Charlotte heads into a Week 4 battle against Clemson. Massachusetts, meanwhile, will have their next action against Coastal Carolina.
