Chippewas vs Aggies Final: 42-28 - Recap

Central Michigan got a 161-yard performance from Kobe Lewis as a key part of its 42-28 victory over the Aggies on Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Central Michigan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -10.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 56.5.

Kobe Lewis rushed for 161 yards, while Jonathan Ward added 131 yards in the win. Kalil Pimpleton and Jonathan Ward added 59 and 36 receiving yards respectively.

Jason Huntley rushed for 67 yards for New Mexico State, while Christian Gibson added 40 yards. Josh Adkins threw for 263 yards for the Aggies, while receivers Tony Nicholson and Naveon Mitchell had 86 and 52 yards respectively.

Central Michigan outgained New Mexico State 486-384 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-18 by the Chippewas.

New Mexico State lost the time of possession battle 35:01-24:59, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Central Michigan takes its act on the road to face Bowling Green looking for another win. For New Mexico State, they head on the road to face Georgia Southern.
