Recap - Huskies Defeat Massachusetts 56-35

The Minutemen had no answer for Kevin Mensah on Saturday as the Huskies rolled to a 56-35 win at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

UCONN won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -9.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 62.0.

Kevin Mensah rushed for 164 yards, while Art Thompkins added 135 yards in the win. Cameron Ross and Ardell Brown added 120 and 26 receiving yards respectively.

Bilal Ally rushed for 159 yards for Massachusetts, while Cam Roberson added 24 yards. Andrew Brito threw for 239 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Jermaine Johnson Jr. and Sadiq Palmer had 92 and 48 yards respectively.

UCONN outgained Massachusetts 539-439 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-24 by the Huskies.

The time of possession battle favored UCONN as their offense was on the field for 34:58, longer than the 25:02 of their opponents.

UCONN looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Navy. Massachusetts will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Liberty.
