Cincinnati Bearcats vs East Carolina Pirates Wrap - Cincinnati Wins 46-43

Desmond Ridder tore up the turf for 146 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Bearcats to a 46-43 win over the Pirates at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

The Bearcats won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -24.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Desmond Ridder rushed for 146 yards, while Michael Warren II added 141 yards in the win. Josiah Deguara and Malick Mbodj added 76 and 37 receiving yards respectively.

Trace Christian rushed for 43 yards for East Carolina, while Demetrius Mauney added 22 yards. Holton Ahlers threw for 535 yards for the Pirates, while receivers C.J. Johnson and Blake Proehl had 283 and 105 yards respectively.

East Carolina outgained Cincinnati 638-487 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 35-20 by the Pirates.

East Carolina led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:05-25:55 split in that important category.

Next game, Cincinnati takes its act home to face Connecticut looking for another win. For East Carolina, they head on the road to face Southern Methodist.
