Rockets vs Golden Flashes Final: 35-33 - Recap
The Golden Flashes had no answer for Shakif Seymour on Tuesday as the Rockets rolled to a 35-33 win at Glass Bowl.
Toledo won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -3.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 64.0.
Shakif Seymour rushed for 175 yards, while Bryant Koback added 67 yards in the win. Desmond Phillips and Devin Maddox added 55 and 42 receiving yards respectively.
Xavier Williams rushed for 63 yards for Kent State, while Will Matthews added 55 yards. Dustin Crum threw for 257 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Kavious Price and Mike Carrigan had 102 and 75 yards respectively.
Kent State lost the offensive yardage battle to Toledo 483-428 yards in Tuesday's game. Toledo had more first downs as that total ended up 30-19.
The time of possession battle favored Toledo as their offense was on the field for 34:53, longer than the 25:07 of their opponents.
Toledo heads into a Week 12 battle against Northern Illinois. Kent State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Buffalo.
