Panthers Fall 45-31 Against Louisiana-Monroe - Game Recap

Josh Johnson scampered through the Georgia State defense for 168 yards as Louisiana-Monroe handed the Panthers a 45-31 defeat on Saturday at JPS Field at James L. Malone Stadium.

Josh Johnson rushed for 168 yards, while Caleb Evans added 110 yards in the win. Zach Jackson and Perry Carter Jr. added 91 and 49 receiving yards respectively.

Tra Barnett rushed for 190 yards for Georgia State, while Destin Coates added 119 yards. Cornelious Brown threw for 80 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Cornelius McCoy and Sam Pinckney had 38 and 31 yards respectively.

Louisiana-Monroe outgained Georgia State 590-536 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-27 by the Warhawks.

The time of possession battle favored Louisiana-Monroe as their offense was on the field for 33:55, longer than the 26:05 of their opponents.
