Trojans Fall 49-24 Against Iowa - Game Recap
The battle between the Hawkeyes and Trojans didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as USC was handed a 49-24 defeat on Friday at SDCCU Stadium.
Iowa won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +1.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 54.5.
Tyler Goodson rushed for 48 yards, while Tyrone Tracy Jr. added 23 yards in the win. Nico Ragaini and Ihmir Smith-Marsette added 54 and 46 receiving yards respectively.
Vavae Malepeai rushed for 37 yards for USC, while Stephen Carr added 24 yards. Kedon Slovis threw for 260 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Tyler Vaughns had 163 and 54 yards respectively.
Iowa led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:24-26:36 split in that important category.
