Cougars Fall 38-24 Against Baylor - Game Recap

Abram Smith tore up the turf for 188 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Bears to a 38-24 win over the Cougars at McLane Stadium.

Baylor won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -5.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 52.5.

Abram Smith rushed for 188 yards, while Trestan Ebner added 95 yards in the win. Tyquan Thornton and R.J. Sneed added 84 and 72 receiving yards respectively.

Tyler Allgeier rushed for 33 yards for BYU, while Jaren Hall added 25 yards. Jaren Hall threw for 342 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Puka Nacua and Gunner Romney had 168 and 81 yards respectively.

Baylor outgained BYU 534-409 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-15 by the Bears.

Baylor led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 35:36-24:24 split in that important category.

Baylor looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Texas. BYU will aim to get back on the winning track at Washington State.
