Cyclones Down Oklahoma State 24-21 - Match Report
Brock Purdy's 307-yard performance through the air was the key in Iowa State's 24-21 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium.
Iowa State did not, however, defeat the Cowboys against the spread, which closed at -7.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 47.5.
Brock Purdy completed 27 of 33 pass attempts for 307 yards for the Cyclones in the win.
Jaylen Warren rushed for 76 yards for Oklahoma State, while Spencer Sanders added 29 yards. Spencer Sanders threw for 225 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Brennan Presley and Tay Martin had 84 and 80 yards respectively.
Oklahoma State lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa State 374-332 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa State had more first downs as that total ended up 18-16.
Iowa State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:11-25:49 split in that important category.
Next game, Iowa State takes its act on the road to face West Virginia looking for another win. For Oklahoma State, they head home to face Kansas.
