Recap - Huskies Defeat Central Michigan 39-38

Rocky Lombardi was good for 320 yards through the air on Saturday as the Huskies got past the Chippewas by a score of 39-38 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Rocky Lombardi completed 16 of 26 pass attempts for 320 yards for the Huskies in the win.

Lew Nichols III rushed for 192 yards for Central Michigan, while Myles Bailey added 8 yards. Daniel Richardson threw for 289 yards for the Chippewas, while receivers Kalil Pimpleton and JaCorey Sullivan had 130 and 63 yards respectively.

Central Michigan was outgained by NIU 520-500 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-24 by the Chippewas.

Central Michigan lost the time of possession battle 36:09-23:51, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
