UAB Falls 30-24 to Owls - Recap
The Blazers were burned by August Pitre III for 108 receiving yards on Saturday as the Owls picked up a 30-24 win at Protective Stadium.

DeWayne McBride rushed for 95 yards for UAB, while Jermaine Brown Jr. added 42 yards. Dylan Hopkins threw for 318 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Gerrit Prince and Trea Shropshire had 114 and 81 yards respectively.
Rice was outgained by UAB 445-346 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-15 by the Owls.
UAB lost the time of possession battle 38:01-21:59, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Rice looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against North Texas. UAB will aim to get back on the winning track vs. LA Tech.
