Georgia Tech Falls 48-40 to Cavaliers - Recap

Brennan Armstrong was good for 396 yards through the air on Saturday as the Cavaliers got past the Yellow Jackets by a score of 48-40 at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium.

Brennan Armstrong completed 29 of 43 pass attempts for 396 yards for the Cavaliers in the win.

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 132 yards for Georgia Tech, while Jeff Sims added 65 yards. Jeff Sims threw for 300 yards for the Yellow Jackets, while receivers Kyric McGowan and Adonicas Sanders had 86 and 79 yards respectively.

Virginia outgained Georgia Tech 636-570 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 32-28 by the Cavaliers.

Georgia Tech lost the time of possession battle 31:55-28:05, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
