Wildcats Down Vanderbilt 34-17 - Match Report

Chris Rodriguez Jr. ran for 114 yards as Kentucky handled Vanderbilt by a score of 34-17 on Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium.

The Wildcats earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -21.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 52.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for 114 yards, while JuTahn McClain added 69 yards in the win. Wan'Dale Robinson and Josh Ali added 75 and 58 receiving yards respectively.

Patrick Smith rushed for 84 yards for Vanderbilt, while Mike Wright added 20 yards. Mike Wright threw for 58 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Chris Pierce Jr. and Amir Abdur-Rahman had 69 and 65 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Kentucky 413-266 yards in Saturday's game. Kentucky had more first downs as that total ended up 21-16.

Kentucky lost the time of possession battle 30:14-29:46, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Kentucky takes its act home to face New Mexico State looking for another win. For Vanderbilt, they head on the road to face Ole Miss.
